Park project idea forming stage and key concepts.

My starting point is to use 3 KEY nature element ：'air' 'water' 'sunlight' ，how it could and possibly will be interact with human body and try to reveal it in certain form through reimagination. I did my research on kinetic sculptures as considering the weather condition in waterlow park always quite windy，the kinetic sculpture generates eye pleasuring patterns as way of visualising the flow of air.

-light transmitting concrete is a concrete based building material having light transmiisve property. which is mainly due to uniform distribution of high numerical aperture plastic optical fibres POF throughout its body. =translucent concrete.

The translucent concrete was first developed in 2001 by Hungarian architect Aron Losonezi at the Technical University of Budapest.
and in 2004， he started a german company named Litracon bt.

key components：1-Fine concrete2.Optical fibres.-（as thin as human hair）It transmit light between two ends of the fiber by process of total internal reflection.

Priciple： ～TC works based in “nano optics.” By t he priciple of total internal reflection. These fibres passes as much light when tiny slits are pleced directly on top of each other.

Refer to Japanese sculptor artist Mariko Mori. Her using of material was fantastic，like obsorbing the energy from the sun but at the same time  releasing it from environment around. its ultraworldly mysterious. the most simple effective way pull you right through in to the surreal space. 

I decide to take this new inspiration-visible form of sound and music wave ，and I dig deep into cymatic pattern and use it up as trace and use clear acetate for texture'  use light weight material to make it floatable upon lake. When the surface which I made with countless clear tessles gets glowing and livly like a jelly fish in deep water when made the contact with sunlight.n And it made sounds when theres breeze ，like a piece of instrument for nature only.

Today I also ordered the solar powerd light specially for outdoor lightings and hope it works at night. The effect will be the best in water and become most reflective and shiny objects.

Also， for health and safty reason it should isolated from the crowed where may cause damaging for the shiny  Alienise jelly fish-like apperance，especially the children and dogs.

the proposal rejected by Adrian , the heath and safety reason and might cause damage to the lake and wild lives.

so I have to move my sculpture to the grass and the sametime reassume the new condition and potential problems.

The acetate tessels material I did for my work considered being to risky to install in the water area as it might cause potential harm to the wildlife and too instable to control as I was going to use inflatable pillows to lifted whole sculpture and floating on the pool by achoring with string one side going down to the bottom.

I got really frustrate and upsetting when I been told I might not able to be exhibit the piece in the pool…… I dont have much time left and most is my responsibility to do the communication work with the park curators and team in school. I choose to work in an isolated state but soon I find out that the personal willingness only take small portion of this whole project· Although the piece is really not gonna work in any place else but I've got no option？

I changed the background from lower pond to a central grass land for passing the Park risk assessment but I dont know wether I will like the final effect…… It likely to go 'vanish' in to backgrounds or either damage by kids After my risk assessment I went to waterlow park again to final check with available spaces.

FINAL CHECK AND TESTING.

I find it impossible installing right onto the surface of grassland so I decided to go to workshop make 150mm height structure to lift whole sculpture up in the air so therefore could avoid all the potential risks. I have to make sure it go deep enough into the ground. I ordered 3x 300cm length metal sticks. 50cm going to the ground. 

The technician was really awesome make the whole last minute decision going through a flawless success. I was lucky..

actually it looks better in this and give more movement and steadier than before.

hope it will survive longer through this miserable weather.

-What did I set out to achieve？
My starting point is to use 3 KEY nature element ：'air' 'water' 'sunlight' ，how it could and possibly will be interact with human body and try to reveal it in certain form through reimagination. I did my research on kinetic sculptures as considering the weather condition in waterlow park always quite windy，the kinetic sculpture generates eye pleasuring patterns as way of visualising the flow of air.

Cymatic study as a response towards the 'water'，the upper and lower pond in waterlow park was the most attempting area for me to exhibit work in the first eyesight. The exciting thing was when I heard park rangers happy about we using the pool（as long as its save and harmless）I like water surface，it like a piece of nature mirror connect reality and virtuality in to an infinity loop' like one exhibition room in saatchi gallery'

-What did I actually produce and exhibit
The whole project was three weeks to make public art installation ，I feel it bit intense I only It actually took me less than a week to finish the finalpiece making and it was not even my first，ideal proposal'

I have no time to learn to make a kinetic structure installation

My 'water-float on' has questioned and rejected through first proposal examine.

I lifted it up with3*200mm metal tube to avoid crushing by park walkers because of its attempting outlooks.

It looks quite IVISIBLE on photographs， it gets easy melted back into the backgrounds which I spent ages on cuting and tieing with.

How did you work with others?

I am thankful to this project push me work inside the environment where demands constantly communication to make sure things happening in the right direction'
I think the this is how differentiate the public art with a personal sculpture' for public art you need take lots more into considerations， for instance this Park project，you need to do the risk assessment、from theme choosing 、I considered potential viewer's feelings and mood and trying to be ascetically pleasing. （especially there is a hospital nearby）the public art like working In side a limitated space which shaped by all sorts of rules and society regulations. The general publics responces will be great different from art gallery visitors of course. They carry different purposes and expects.

I use the metal workshop for the first time， the technician was so very kind and help me with base structure making and in certain extend he helped me diminished my fearness towards metal and machine'
