UCAS PERSONAL STATEMENT

I'm standing in the present weaving my knowledge try to sculp the scenario of future.

I get inspired and learned from a great variety; Cybor-techno , Occultism, Nature,Philosophy,Gastronomy...By taking the foundation course,I learnt to research in depth and think everthing differently and result in taken my work further in form and diggin' deeper in the context. Not only gather image from sell phone, pics and documentary online but also through communicate and interaction between people. Sometimes I like throw myself in CSM library or Tate Modern book store for whole day. I think It's been an intensive and energetic course and reqired highly self-displinary to keep up with. The group 'Crit' happened during and the end of each project which is extremely helpful. We came from diverse culture backgrounds, different experiences and knowledge systems, but art language is something beyond all and built a unique spirtual connectivity among us that I feel I get full evolved everytime and it's been a spiritual subliming and mind-enlightening experience.

'Body' always the central form to start alongside a sensual exploration in time and space visualise with extreme textiles and materialisation. like in 'Human Breeding Mechine'project. (hyper-organism form merged with human body and cybor-mechanism) I work radically and intuitively with no restrict in form and interweave both traditional crafts and tech- manipulation in the process, from microscope to marcoscope in scales. In the recent 'performance art' practice,I really challenged and pushed myself during the research process where I used my own body as tool and medium, influenced by Abramovic' s   handbook of atists' displine;white paint all over my body crawling on vaccum clean films;I ate pure Oats for 2 weeks for research and experiment, as the consequence of overdose of carbohydrate, it cause metabolic disorder and lost gustation(taste sense) for a period, and then I try to interpreted this personal feeling through my own materialisation and exaggerated this sensual experience in form of a interactive spatial installation.

Curiosity towards future is the key to keep me always get informed, inspired and motivated. Designer' artists Hussein Chalayan,Iris Van Herpen and Lucy Mcrae was always my initial influence and teach me to be bold with experimentation. I self-study poly-products and new materials and I invented unvanished 3D ink bubble paint for project' Ephemeral Infinity'-a memoir to a passed friend,as bubble metaphorically indicated human fragility and invention of this material suggest an alter form of existancy along with buddism philosophy study;carved Pig skin combined with Origami techniques for 'Foldable sencond layer of Skin' a piece of garment states the hypothesis towards future human species appearance after 3000years.

Beyound the course,I get a fascinating opportunity to intern in the Unseen Studio;a hi-etc couture brand and join the core research team  on color change ink technology where the innovative textile can change color according to body temperature. Also I get internship in Tube showroom during the Shanghai Fashion Week to help with whole visual setting and sales management team, It's been a mind-boarden opportunity to get to known the industry, also I get improved in all-round ability;and learn pattern cutting skills systematically.  Besides,I also developed a strong culture awarness and interest towards chinese inherited traditional techniques during the gap year. I learned Bandhnu n' Bantik(tie die)in a village in china for 2 month and while the local government relocation policy was going to clear this area and push those cultural inheritage into instinctions.

To be a futurologist required generall knowledge across fields of cultural science and technology so on and weaving all them together to built the future scenario. I feel like the skills and opportunities your course presents is something that would help me to achieve this.
